The remnants of Isaac are finally lifting out of the region, allowing the clouds to break, and limiting showers to eastern Kentucky. But muggy conditions will continue for the short term. We'll only drop into the low 70s under partly cloudy skies tonight. Some fog will be possible.
A warmer midweek is expected with more sunshine. Under partly cloudy skies, we'll jump into the upper 80s with heat indices around 90 degrees. A stray shower or two, or even an afternoon thunderstorm will be possible, especially in eastern Kentucky. The winds will remain weak, around 3 to 8 mph.
Thursday looks very similar with high temperatures remaining in the upper 80s with a few more showers or storms possible.
