During the overnight, isolated thunderstorms will remain possible, although severe weather is not anticipated. The main overnight concern will be locally heavy rainfall. Especially in Madison, Letcher, Harlan, Whitley and McCreary counties that received heavy rainfall already on Tuesday evening.
Widespread showers and thunderstorms will return on Wednesday. A soaking rain is expected across much of central and eastern Kentucky. The threat for severe weather is very low, with only a stray strong storm possible in southern Kentucky.  High temperatures will be around 70 degrees. Scattered to widespread showers and storms will also continue on Thursday with afternoon highs in the mid 60s.
