A few afternoon heavy downpours and isolated thunderstorms have developed in the Bluegrass, but the potential for severe weather will increase for the late afternoon and evening. A line of strong storms is moving out of southern Indiana (as of 3pm) and will be pushing toward central Kentucky. The unstable air along the I-75 corridor should encourage storms to remain strong to severe. Intense lightning and damaging winds are the main concern, possible some large hail. And robust rainfall will accompany any afternoon thunderstorms.
