Evening thunderstorms have decreased in strength and coverage. Only showers and isolated thunderstorms persist. And only a few showers or storms will linger into the overnight as temperature drop into the mid 50s. Behind a cold front that arrived on Monday afternoon, Tuesday's temperatures will peak in the mid 70s with light north winds. Scattered thunderstorms will again be possible, especially in eastern Kentucky. A stray storm or two will be possible in eastern Kentucky on Wednesday as temperatures peak in the upper 70s.
Late in the work week temperatures will return into the 80s. A warm end to the work week is expected and then a hot Memorial Day weekend is expected with highs in the low 90s!
