After wind gusts peaked around 40 mph during the midday across the Bluegrass, winds will continue to weaken for the evening. All Wind Advisories and Lake Wind Advisories have been cancelled. Evening winds will remain between 12-20 mph with gusts around 25-30 mph.
Scattered clouds and dry conditions will continue tonight with overnight low temperatures in the mid 30s. Another mild and breezy day is expected on WEdnesday with temperatures returning into the 50s. A few late-day showers or storms will be possible, especially in southern Kentucky. The warmest day of the week is expected on Thursday when high temperatures will peak in the mid 60s ahead of a cold front. With the warmth, scattered storms will be possible, and some of them may be strong to severe, again the best chance will be in southern Kentucky.
The cold front will filter much colder air into the region Friday with late afternoon temperatures likely falling into the low 40s and upper 30s. A few snow showers will be possible late Friday behind the front.
