By the afternoon we'll have a high of 79 degrees with sunny skies. Temperatures get warmer for the weekend with sunny skies and a high of 84 for Saturday. The chance for some late day thunderstorms returns for Father's Day Sunday, with highs around 86 degrees.
We will have a cooler and comfortable end to the work week, with warming temperatures through the weekend. Unsettled weather returns for early next week.
Tonight: After a line of strong to severe thunderstorms moved through the Bluegrass from late morning to early afternoon, we are expecting much quieter conditions for the rest of the evening. Skies will be clearing tonight, with mostly clear skies overall. Cooler, drier Canadian air will be moving in overnight, with low temperatures around 56 degrees by daybreak Friday.
Friday: We will have a pleasant end to the work week, with mostly sunny skies and high temperatures around 79 degrees, which is below normal for this time of the year. Winds will be out of the north, with drier air making it feel comfortable.
Friday Night: We will have clear skies and cool conditions Friday night into Saturday morning. Overnight low temperatures will be around 60 degrees.
Saturday: We will start off the weekend with mostly sunny skies and warm temperatures, with a high of 84 degrees.
Father’s Day Sunday: We will have warmer conditions for Father’s Day, with partly sunny skies, and a high of 86 degrees. There will be a chance for some scattered late day showers and thunderstorms.
Early Next Week: Better chances for more widespread rain and thunderstorm activity will be Sunday night through Tuesday as a cold front approaches the region. The cold front will slowly move through Monday night into early Tuesday. Temperatures will remain warm, with a high of 83 degrees on Monday, and 82 degrees for Tuesday.
