Midnight Update: We are looking at clear skies tonight, with a wide-range of temperatures just before midnight. Monticello is at 49 degrees, with Lexington at 59 degrees, and Jackson at 60 degrees. Frankfort, Irvine, London, Somerset, Morehead, and Richmond are in the low to mid 50s right now. For your Tuesday morning commute, we look to have temperatures in the upper 40s to lower 50s.
We will continue to have pleasant conditions for the start of the work week, yet rain chances return by midweek and this weekend.
Tonight: We will have mostly clear skies overnight with low temperatures around 47 degrees by daybreak Tuesday.
Tuesday: After a chilly start to the day, temperatures will warm up quickly into the lower 70s, ...with a high around 72 degrees. Clouds will increase late in the day as a cold front approaches from the west, yet the cold front looks to stay over the Midwest, keeping rain chances away.
Tuesday Night: Rain chances will increase late Tuesday into Wednesday morning, with the bulk of the rain coming in early Wednesday. Wednesday morning low temperatures will drop to around 51 degrees.
Wednesday: Rain showers return on Wednesday, as a cold front moves through the area. The cold front will keep temperatures cooler, with a high of 60 degrees. Rainfall amounts look to be around a half-inch on average. Rain will decrease from west to east by the late afternoon and evening hours of Wednesday.
Thursday & Friday: We will have drier and cooler conditions for the end of the work week, with mostly sunny skies on Thursday and partly sunny skies on Friday, with highs in the low to mid 60s.
Weekend: There will be a chance for rain Friday night into Saturday as a low pressure system moves over the region. Saturday looks to be a rainy start to the weekend, with the possibility for lingering rain showers into Sunday as well. High temperatures on Friday will be around 64 degrees, with a high of 67 degrees for Sunday.
