Flooding will be a concern as we head into the afternoon and evening hours. Especially in our eastern counties. Then National Weather Service has posted several Flash Flood Warnings for high rising rivers & streams in eastern KY. Please remember, if you encounter a flooded roadway or street, do not attempt to cross it. It only takes a few inches of water to knock a person off balance & just a few more to cause cars to completely lose traction with the roads.

Grab your rain gear before you head out the door this morning. Clouds, showers & thunderstorms will all be in the weather mix this morning and into this afternoon. A few of the storms that we see could produce very heavy rainfall along with vivid lightning and gusty winds. A few of the storms that we see by late morning and into this afternoon have the potential to be strong & severe - mainly south of I-64. Highs should spike in the low 60s this afternoon.
As we head into the overnight hours, look for clouds to dissipate, giving way to mostly sunny skies by Tuesday!
