Midnight Update: The Severe Thunderstorm Watch has expired, as the threat of severe weather has diminished across the viewing area. We are seeing clearing skies over the Bluegrass region right now, with only a few lingering rain showers along the Kentucky-West Virginia line. With the leftover moisture from today's rain and thunderstorms, we will have fog developing for the early morning hours of Tuesday. After the morning fog burns off Tuesday, we are expecting mostly sunny skies for the afternoon with a high of 84 degrees.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect until 11pm tonight for areas south of I-64 across Kentucky. Most of th...e thunderstorm activity will diminish tonight with warmer temperatures returning for midweek.
Tonight: A cold front will move through the area this evening, giving us scattered rain showers and thunderstorms. Rain will diminish after midnight, with some patchy fog developing by early Tuesday morning. Overnight low temperatures will be around 62 degrees.
Tuesday: Warmer temperatures and drier conditions return for Tuesday, with mostly to partly sunny skies. Tuesday afternoon high temperatures will be around 84 degrees.
Wednesday: Our warmest day of the week will be on Wednesday, with high temperatures around 90 degrees. There will be a chance for some isolated, late day thunderstorms on Wednesday, with generally partly cloudy skies.
Thursday: We will have another round of rain showers and thunderstorms on Thursday as another weather disturbance moves through the region. Thursday afternoon high temperatures will remain warm, with a high of 81 degrees.
Friday-Weekend: We will have warm temperatures with partly sunny skies for Friday into your weekend. Friday and Saturday high temperatures will be in the low to mid 80s. There will be a slight chance for a few rain showers and thunderstorms for Sunday, with a high of 86 degrees.
