Warming Trend For The Rest Of The Week

Temperatures will continue to get warmer as we approach the weekend, with Friday being the first official day of summer.
Midnight Update:  We will have quiet conditions overnight, as temperatures fall to 60 degrees, with clear skies.  There will be a chance for a little light fog across southern and southeastern Kentucky, yet we look to start off with mostly sunny skies overall.  Expect warmer temperatures for Thursday, with highs around 86 degrees.  Temperatures continue to climb into the upper 80s to near 90 degrees, Friday through the weekend.

We will have a warming trend through the rest of the week with mainly dry conditions. The summer solstice is officially this Friday, June 21st at 1:04 a.m.

Tonight: We will have mostly clear skies overnight into Thursday morning, with low temperatures around 60 degrees.

Thursday: Temperatures get a little warmer for Thursday, with mostly sunny to partly sunny skies, and a high temperature of 86 degrees. There will be a slight chance for an isolated thunderstorm, with the best chance for Southeast Kentucky.

Thursday Night: Mostly clear skies will continue for Thursday night with an overnight low temperature around 65 degrees by Friday morning.

Friday: Friday is officially the first day of summer, with the summer solstice at 1:04 a.m. For our first day of summer, we’ll have a high of 88 degrees, with an isolated thunderstorm possible.

Weekend: Partly sunny skies will be around for the weekend, with temperatures in the upper 80s to near 90 degrees. There will be a chance for some isolated, late day thunderstorms for both Saturday and Sunday, yet most of the viewing area is expected to stay dry.

Next Week: Temperatures will remain in the upper 80s to near 90 degrees for early next week, with the chance for a few late day thunderstorms.
