Warm & Windy For Thursday

Temperatures quickly warm for Thursday, with wind gusts up to 35 mph. Late day strong to severe thunderstorms will also be possible.

Midnight Update:  Rain has come to an end for tonight, and we look to remain dry into early Thursday.  Thursday will be warm, with highs in the lower 80s.  Southerly winds will gust up to 35 mph at times, making for a windy day as well.  We will have the chance for some thunderstorms developing late Thursday, yet most of the storms will stay west of I-75 during the day.  More rain and thunderstorms will move through Central and Eastern Kentucky Thursday night into Friday, with some thunderstorms becoming strong to severe.


Tonight: An isolated rain shower or thunderstorm will be possible overnight, with partly cloudy skies and low temperatures around 61 degres.

Thursday: We will have very windy conditions on Thursday, with southerly wind gusts up to 35 mph. Temperatures will quickly warm through the afternoon, with highs in the lower 80s. Strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible late Thursday, especially for areas west of I-75, and across Western Kentucky, as a cold front will be over the Mississippi Valley.

Thursday Night: There will be on-going thunderstorms and rain showers moving eastward out of the Mississippi Valley, giving us the chance for strong to severe thunderstorms overnight into Friday morning. Temperatures will fall to around 60 degrees.

Friday: A strong cold front will move across Kentucky early Friday and into the afternoon, bringing the chance for a good soaking rain, and cooler temperatures throughout the day. High temperatures around 60 degrees look to be reached early Friday, with temperatures falling into the 50s by the afternoon.

Weekend: Cooler temperatures and dry conditions will return for the weekend, with highs in the upper 50s to near 60 degrees, and mostly sunny skies.
