Afternoon Update:

After an icy start this morning with temps hovering around freezing, into this afternoon, we're looking for a few peaks of sunshine with mild temperatures.  Your weekend forecast will be a little cooler than today; however, more sunshine is on the way.

Join Meteorologist Mark Stitiz tonight at 5pm, 6pm & 11pm for more on your forecast.

Please be careful on the roadways this morning.  Mainly along and north of I-64 we're seeing slick spots and a light accumulation of ice.  We're forecasting quick thawing by mid morning as temperatures rebound to near 50 degrees by lunch time.  Highs should top out in the mid 50s with a sun and cloud mix.  Tonight, temps should fall near freezing overnight under partly cloudy skies.

Saturday looks good with a few passing clouds and highs in the mid 40s.  Sunday looks to be the "pick day" this weekend with sunshine and upper 40s in the forecast.

Join Meteorologist Michael Estime all morning long for the latest on our winter weather.

Take your time on the rds this AM. Several accidents on my way in, along with a thin layer of ice on my deck.
