Afternoon Update:

It's a cool lunch break throughout much of central KY.  If you're heading out the door, you'll need not only your sunglasses, but also a thick coat to keep you warm! Temperatures today will be a good 10 - 15 degrees below normal.   A flurry or two is possible this afternoon and evening in the Lake Cumberland community.  Saturday looks a little more mild with temps in the 50s, but come Sunday, snow showers are on the way with a light accumulation possible by early Monday morning.

Happy Friday!

You're waking up to a few patches of frost this morning with temps in the teens and twenties in many spots.  We'll call it mostly sunny this morning with a few more clouds in our southern and western counties.  Along the Cumberland Parkway, and points south of it, a few more snow flurries are possible.  Highs today should top out in the mid 40s with overnight lows tonight falling to 30°.  Finally, we're a little more mild, in the 50s, on Saturday under partly sunny skies.  Saturday evening into Sunday, we'll see a push of moisture into the Blue Grass.  By Sunday into early Monday morning, we could see a light wintry accumulation.

Join me today on ABC 36 News at Noon for more on Sunday's snow chances...
