Afternoon Update:

Snow showers are becoming more widespread here in the Blue Grass.  Because of this, the NWS has issued a Winter Weather Advisory until 2am Friday morning.  We could see upwards on an inch of snow by the time everything is said and done in the Blue Grass.  South of I-64 & east of I-75, along the Mountain Parkway, we're seeing more accumulating snowfall on the order of 1" -2" with more on the way tomorrow.

Join Meteorologist Mark Stitz tonight at 5pm, 6pm & 11pm for more on your forecast.

Good morning!

When you head out the door this morning, you'll notice a light dusting of snowfall on your windshield!  Along the Blue Grass Parkway and south of I-64 & generally east of I-75, we're continuing to track snow flurries.  Expect a cold and windy start this morning with afternoon highs hovering around freezing.  Though into the evening hours temps will fall into the mid teens with wind chills approaching the single digits, Old Man Winter has another trick up his sleeve.

Around the 9pm hour tonight into early Friday morning, a quick moving clipper system will produce an additional 0.50" - 1.00" of fluffy snow by Friday.

Get more on your 7-day forecast at Noon on ABC 36.

Many of us waking up to a light dusting of snow! More on another round of snow on @ABC36Lexington #GMK at 5am. http://t.co/s5BXy8QC
