We're all covered in warm clouds this afternoon with temps as of lunch time in the low 70s.
West of I-75, given the showers and few thunderstorms we've already seen, the atmosphere is more stable and less likely to produce threatening weather. East of I-75, into the afternoon and evening hours, as showers and storms from Nashville, TN area ride up and along the leading edge of the squall line, showers and storms remain a possibility. There is a very slight chance that a few of the storms that do develop could be strong/severe. Most will stay under severe limits. A few showers will linger in our eastern counties through Friday morning with sunshine back in the forecast by the afternoon & weekend.
Temps this morning are in the 60s & low 70s. Clouds, showers and a few storms are in today's forecast.
Although we're forecasting a line of showers and storms to push through early this afternoon, a few showers could pop up before hand by late morning. The intensity of the line has weakened; however, with the heating of the afternoon, those storms could re-fire and recharge by this afternoon. At this point, those showers and storms should not reach severe limits in western KY and the Blue Grass; however, as the afternoon wears on eastern KY will need to stay extra vigilant to the threat for a few storms to become severe. Highs are expected in the low to mid 70s. Clouds, showers & storms should clear out by Friday morning revealing partly to mostly cloudy Friday afternoon.
Your Saturday & Sunday look cool, but great!
