Afternoon Update:

Friday's Winter Weather Impact ~ mainly in the Bluegrass Region:

Lunchtime - 9:00pm: Freezing rain, sleet & cold rain should dominate our afternoon.
9:00pm - Midnight: Light wet snow & sleet.

A thin layer of ice [0.10"] could accumulate through this afternoon in our Bluegrass counties, please take your time on the roadways. Other than a light dusting, little to no snow accumulation is expected through Saturday morning.

Southern and eastern Kentucky will mainly see a cold rain with some sleet mixing in the higher elevated regions.

Winter Storm Warnings are in effect for: Harrison, Scott, Franklin, Shelby & Owen counties through Saturday morning. This means that freezing rain/sleet/ice is a greater threat in your area, so exercise extreme caution through your Friday.
