Rain & Sleet transitions to Snow Overnight - Tuesday

Afternoon update:

Rain and sleet with be the halmark of your Tuesday.  As arctic cold air plunges deeper into the Bluegrass, that rain and sleet with transition to an accumulating snowfall by Wednesday midday.

Rain & sleet this morning will make the roadways slick in spots. The sleet and rain should linger through sunset today; however, after sunset, everything should transition to snowfall during the overnight hours and through the day tomorrow.  By the time everything is said and done, we could see on the order of:

Snowfall Forecast:
1"-3" of snowfall in the Bluegrass region
2"-4" of snowfall in Eastern KY

...with locally higher amounts, especially in the higher elevated regions & hill tops by your Wednesday afternoon.

Otherwise, we're cloudy & cold with highs in the mid 30s and overnight lows in the low 20s.

Thanksgiving Forecast:
All the clouds and wintry weather moves out, and sunshine moves in by Thursday meaning we have a lot to be thankful for by that point! Your Thanksgiving weekend also look better on your Friday and this weekend with highs in the mid to upper 40s.
