Midnight Update: The snow is now in Illinois and Indiana, heading towards northern Kentucky. Some of the areas north of I-64 that do see a snow shower or two, could wake up to a dusting on the ground.

Temperatures haven't dropped much in the last few hours. As of midnight, Lexington is still at 30° with Frankfort and Morehead in the upper 20s. Most of southern Kentucky is in the low 30s.

Forecast: We have another cold night ahead as temperatures drop into the mid 20s by Monday morning. Areas along and north of I-64 could see some light snow overnight, with some areas waking up to a dusting on the ground. The rest of us will be dry and cloudy.

Our next warming trend begins Monday afternoon as temperatures climb into the upper 30s, even with mostly cloudy conditions.

We will continue to warm up through the work week. By Wednesday, we will be mostly sunny and back into the 40s.

The 50s return Thursday and Friday as our next weather system approaches.

Rain will arrive as early as Friday and could become heavy at times during the weekend with dropping temperatures.
