A weak warm front will slide north tonight across the region allowing breezy south winds to return. Partly cloudy skies and south winds will keep temperatures mild tonight, with lows around 50 degrees. Friday afternoon, partly cloudy skies and the warm south winds will take temperatures into the mid 70s, for a warm end to the work week. By evening thunderstorms north of the Bluegrass will be sinking into central Kentucky. A few evening and late evening storms may be strong to severe with gusty winds and large hail. Storms will then move into southern Kentucky and weaken during the overnight into Saturday morning.
There will be a lot of enjoyable weather this weekend, although morning showers will remain possible in eastern Kentucky on Saturday. Then a stray afternoon storm will be possible Sunday. High temperatures this weekend will range from the mid 60s to upper 70s.
