Unrelenting Heat, T-Storms For Some

Temperatures will remain consistently in the 90s over the next few days, with scattered thunderstorms developing each afternoon.
Heat Advisories continue in Owen, Grant, Pendleton, Bracken, Robertson, Mason, Lewis, Carter and Lawrence Counties this afternoon and early this evening.

Temperatures are climbing into the 90s once again, this afternoon, and isolated thunderstorms are forming.  In the early afternoon, most of the activity has been in southern Kentucky, although spotty thunderstorms will also be possible farther north, later today.  The unrelenting heat will continue through the entire seven-day forecast with highs consistently in the 90s.  We'll be in the middle 90s each afternoon through Friday, and each of these days will feature isolated to scattered afternoon thunderstorms.  Heat indices will climb to near 100° each afternoon.  Saturday will be dry, bright and even hotter with highs near 97°.  A front will approach next Sunday and Monday, bringing scattered thunderstorms back into the forecast.  We'll begin to transition to cooler air by the start of next week, with highs near 90° on Monday.
