A Tornado Watch is in effect until 1 PM across central and southern Kentucky.
Strong to severe thunderstorms will occur through the morning and into midday across central Kentucky, with thunderstorms continuing through much of the afternoon across eastern Kentucky. Highs will peak near 67 degrees, and it will be very breezy and humid. Some of the storms could produce damaging straight-line winds, as well as large hail and the potential for an isolated tornado or two. Storms will exit to the east tonight, and Thursday will be much quieter with mostly sunny skies and mild weather. Another round of strong to potentially severe thunderstorms will arrive on Friday, with highs near 68 degrees. Seasonably chilly air will return on Saturday with highs near 50 as the final rain showers exit eastern Kentucky in the morning. Temperatures dip a bit below average on Sunday and Monday as a weak disturbance dives in from the northwest, producing a light mix of rain and even a few snow showers. Readings will return to the middle 50s under mostly sunny skies on Tuesday of next week.
