Unseasonably warm weather will continue, with highs near 85 degrees today under partly sunny skies. Many areas will remain dry, but there will be a few isolated thunderstorms this afternoon and evening, especially across the southern half of Kentucky. Extra clouds will cover southern Kentucky as well, as a disturbance moves from the Deep South toward the Carolinas. A slow-moving cold front will drift in from the Great Lakes states on Friday and Saturday. A more widespread round of thunderstorms will occur on Friday and into Saturday. Some of Friday's storms could be severe with wind and hail. We will remain unsettled through the weekend and the first half of next week with off-and-on, scattered thunderstorms and above-average temperatures.
