With cloud cover decreasing overnight, temperatures will quickly plummet into the low teens by Sunday morning.
Fleeting flurries will linger throughout Eastern Kentucky overnight but additional accumulation is not expected.
By Sunday afternoon the arctic air will begin to lose its grip, and temperatures will begin to climb with sunshine returning, but only to the freezing mark by Sunday afternoon.
Our next storm system is set to arrive Monday night bringing a chance for more snow and rain into Valentines Day.
The second half of the work week promises milder temperatures.
