Strong storms in central Indiana will slide toward the Bluegrass for the late evening and overnight forecast. The storms are along a cold front. As the front approaches for the late evening, storms will begin to weaken. The storms will transition to widespread rain. The rain will be ongoing to start Tuesday. The rain will remain steady throughout the day Tuesday with many locations receiving 1"-2" of rain. More rain will redevelop, especially in souther Kentucky Tuesday night. By the midweek rainfall totals will be between 1.5"-3" area wide. Behind a secondary cold front on Wednesday temperatures will be even cooler to end the work week on Thursday and Friday, as the sun returns.

Tonight:  Storm storms in Indiana will continue to sink toward the Bluegrass for the late evening. As storms arrive, they should be weakening. The main story for the overnight will be widespread heavy to moderate intensity rainfall. Most overnight rain will be in the Bluegrass with it sinking into southern Kentucky by morning. Winds: W 10-18 mph.  Low: 54.

Tuesday:  A soaking, cooler rain will fall across the area.  While a leftover thunderstorm may be embedded within the rain in southern Kentucky, the severe weather potential will be quite a bit lower.  Temperatures will basically remain steady throughout the day with weaker southeast winds.  Winds: SE 5-10 mph.  High: 56.

Tuesday Night:  Soaking rain across central and eastern Kentucky will continue as temperatures fall behind a slow-moving front.  Winds: E 5-10 mph.  Low: 49.

Wednesday:  The rain will come to an end at midweek from northwest to southeast.  Rainfall totals will be between 1.5" and 3" in most areas by the time the rain ends on Wednesday. Temperatures will remain cool and mostly cloudy skies will continue.  Winds: N 5-10 mph.  High: 53.
