Behind a warm front temperatures will jump into the low to mid 70s on Saturday. Helping the warm-up south winds will increase at 10 to 20 mph. There is the chance for a morning or midday shower or storm, but thunderstorms will become more numerous in the afternoon and evening across central Kentucky. There is the threat for a few strong to severe thunderstorms. The main threat will be large hail and possibly damaging winds.
Fewer thunderstorms are expected on Sunday with high temperatures in the mid 60s.
Next week, the spring weather pattern will continue with off and on thunderstorms and temperatures warming through the 70s.
