Still Very Hot, But Double Digits Today...

After a weekend of triple-digit heat, we'll "only" reach the upper 90s today. Isolated thunderstorms will develop, but only for some.
A Heat Advisory is in effect for Owen, Grant, Pendleton, Bracken, Robertson, Mason, Lewis, Carter and Lawrence Counties this afternoon.

Today will be another very hot one, although it won't be quite as hot as the past few days.  Readings should climb into the upper 90s today, with Lexington on target for 97° under partly sunny skies.  Isolated thunderstorms will form in some areas later today, but many other spots will stay dry.  We'll remain in the same general pattern through Thursday, with highs in the middle 90s and isolated to scattered thunderstorms each afternoon.  Friday and Saturday will be hot and drier with more sunshine than clouds, and highs in the middle to upper 90s.  Thunderstorms will return to the forecast again on Sunday, but highs will remain in the middle 90s.
