Slim Chances For Rain Continue Into The Workweek

Another round of hit and miss showers and storms is expected Monday afternoon as temperatures climb into the mid 80s. Widespread rain and cooler weather will eventually arrive.
Midnight Update: The rain has come to an end across the region and we'll stay dry through the Monday morning commute. Central Kentucky does have a few more clouds overhead from the rain earlier in the night.

Temperatures have fallen into the low 70s for most cities, with Lexington sitting at 71° as of midnight. Our cool spot is Frankfort at 68°.

Meteorologist Michael Estime will have the latest on our storm chances starting at 5 a.m. on Good Morning Kentucky.

Forecast:
Most areas will stay dry Sunday night, but light rain is currently pushing into central Kentucky from the west, right along the Blue Grass Parkway. Most of this will end early tonight and everyone will be dry by the Monday morning commute. Temperatures will fall into the mid 60s overnight.

Monday afternoon will be warmer as we climb into the mid 80s with a mix of sunshine and clouds. Many areas will stay dry, but another round of hit and miss showers and storms is expected as early as the lunch hour. The rain should end by the evening.

On Tuesday, highs will stay in the mid 80s with a few more scattered showers and storms.

Widespread showers and storms will start to push in Wednesday, cooling us off into the mid 70s.

Cooler air arrives Thursday behind more showers and storms, dropping temperatures into the mid 60s in the afternoon.
