A cold front will cross the area today, sparking only a few hit-or-miss showers in central Kentucky. We need more rain, but there will be many areas that entirely miss the showers. Southeastern Kentucky has a much greater chance for thunderstorms today as this area will have extra time to warm up, before the front arrives. After a high near 86°, we'll cool down to the lower 60s with only some patchy fog. Saturday will be beautiful with more sunshine than clouds, low humidity and highs in the middle 80s. Sunday will be hotter with highs near 90°, and a few isolated thunderstorms will be possible late on Sunday and into Monday as another cold front crosses Kentucky. The middle of next week will be unseasonably cool with highs all the way down into the upper 70s on Tuesday, and barely back above 80° on Wednesday. Lows will be in the middle 50s, nearly 10° below average. More typical heat and humidity will return on Thursday with isolated thunderstorms.
