Dry weather is slowly returning to central Kentucky, but some additional showers are sliding east across southeastern and eastern Kentucky. An isolated embedded thunderstorm or two will be possible near the Virginia State Line as well. Highs will be near 74 degrees. Tonight will be dry and cooler with lows around 55. A weak disturbance will cross the area on Wednesday, producing only a few very isolated showers or sprinkles. High pressure will return for Thursday and Friday, bringing bright skies and very pleasant but cool weather. Temperatures will return to the seasonable lower to middle 70s during the weekend and into early next week. Only an isolated thunderstorm will be possible on Saturday, but storm chances will increase on Mother's Day and next Monday.
