Midnight Update: Another round of rain showers is pushing through central and eastern Kentucky tonight. Some of these storms are producing heavy rainfall as they push east.

Temperatures have barely cooled off since this afternoon. After reaching 77 degrees at Blue Grass Airport Sunday afternoon, the city has only cooled to 75 degrees as of midnight. Most cities are at or just above 70 tonight.

Showers and storms will continue at times tonight and into the Monday morning commute. Some of those storms could produce heavy rainfall. We'll stay warm and muggy overnight as we only cool into the upper 60s by morning.

Monday will bring more showers and storms throughout the day. Between storms, skies will be mostly cloudy, keeping afternoon highs near 80 degrees.

We could see enough sunshine Tuesday to bump us back into the mid 80s. A few hit and miss storms will be possible, but a number of cities will stay dry.

We will stay warm and muggy through the rest of the week with at least a slight chance for rain each day. By next weekend, we could make it back into the upper 80s.
