Rainy Monday With Plummeting Temps

Rainy Monday With Plummeting Temps

A strong cold front brings big changes to the Commonwealth.
A strong cold front brings scattered showers, and a few isolated storms, to the region early Monday morning.
Due to the early timing of this system, the severe threat looks very minimal and will just be a good soaking.
It also means that the high temperature will be set during the morning in the upper 50s.
The widespread showers will quickly slide into eastern KY by Monday evening.
Temperatures will fall into the 40s throughout the afternoon and evening.
Once the showers and clouds exit, temperatures will nosedive.

We'll start out Tuesday morning just below the freezing mark, maybe a tad warmer in eastern KY, if the clouds hang on longer.
Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon will feature sunny skies, but highs only in the 40s.
50° afternoons return for the second half of the work week and skies remain dry.
