Rainy End To The Workweek

Rainy End To The Workweek

A number of rain showers and storms are expected to continue Friday. Some of the rain will continue into the weekend.
Noon Update: Most of the rain in central Kentucky continues to be light, with some areas along I-75 getting a nice break from the rain. Areas further south and east of Lexington are seeing light to moderate rainfall.

More rain is expected at times through the rest of the afternoon. Eventually we could see a couple thunderstorms mix in with the showers which will provide some heavier rainfall.

The clouds and rain are keeping us cooler than usual. As of noon, most cities are in the upper 60s to low 70s.

Chief Meteorologist Jason Myers will be in with the latest on our weekend rain chances tonight on ABC 36 News at 5, 6, and 11.

The showers will continue at times Friday and will eventually mix in with a few thunderstorms in the afternoon. Severe weather is not expected. The clouds and the rain will hold afternoon highs back into the mid 70s.

Tonight, rain will continue on and off as we drop into the upper 60s for Saturday morning.

Showers and storms will be fairly widespread again Saturday afternoon, but we will manage to warm into the low 80s with mostly cloudy skies.

Rain chances will slowly decrease as we head into next week, but it may take a few days to see a completely dry day across Kentucky.
