A few more scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible throughout the evening and overnight hours.
Tonight will be mild with lows in the mid 40s under mostly cloudy skies.
Most of Thursday will be dry with temperatures soaring to near 65, but a round of widespread, potentially stronger or severe thunderstorms will arrive from the west in the late afternoon and evening as a strong cold front approaches.
The thunderstorms will linger into the night, weakening as they slide east.
Sharply colder air will arrive on Friday, with a few rain showers mixing with and changing to snow showers, but no significant snow accumulations are expected.
The final flurries will exit eastern Kentucky early on Saturday.
After a cold start to the weekend, temperatures will rebound to near normal for late February on a brighter Sunday.
Temperatures will peak in the lower 50s on Monday and middle 40s on Tuesday as rain showers return to the area with low pressure.
