Rain will overspread the area overnight from west to east, and an isolated thunderstorm or two may be embedded within the rain overnight.
Overnight lows will remain in the upper 40s thanks to a breeze from the south bringing in mild air.
Thursday will begin mild and wet, but drier air will bring an end to the steady rain around mid-afternoon.
High pressure will provide seasonable and brighter weather on Friday.
A storm system passing to our south this weekend may produce a light wintry mix on Saturday evening, especially in southern Kentucky, and this could transition to some light snow on Sunday, again primarily in southern Kentucky.
After a dry Monday morning, the next storm system will approach from the west late on Monday, producing a few rain showers late Monday night.
Rain chances, along with the possibility of some light snow in some areas, will increase on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week as low pressure passes nearby.
