After a cold start in the 20s, a bit of a breeze from the southwest will help boost temperatures well into the middle 40s today, just a few degrees above yesterday's highs. Skies will feature more sun than clouds today and tomorrow. The peak of the warm-up will occur on Friday, when we climb into the lower to middle 50s. This weekend, a weak cold front will arrive, but moisture will be limited. Only a few showers are expected on Saturday and potentially into early Sunday, in southern Kentucky. Most areas near and north of I-64 should stay dry. Another weak disturbance may be just enough to spark isolated showers on Monday or Tuesday, but many areas will stay dry early next week. The reliable rain chance will be on Wednesday as a stronger storm system arrives. Colder air will follow, late next week.
