Temperatures Monday soared into the mid and upper 50s across central and eastern Kentucky, for a very mild start to the work week. And it looks like we will have a very mild work week, although the dry weather will not continue for long. On Tuesday an approaching system from the Midwest will send high clouds into Kentucky. The winds will also remain breezy out of the southwest at around 12 to 20 mph. Winds may gust to 30 mph in the afternoon on Tuesday. By the evening thickening clouds may bring in a few light showers. The main event will be widespread rain showers on Wednesday. At this time rain totals look to be fairly light for the midweek, totaling less than 0.40" for most locations.
