Afternoon Update:

The heat is ON!

With temperatures in the low 90s and dew points in the low 70s, our heat index is in the upper 90s and low 100s!  Make sure you're drinking plenty of water and staying in A.C. when possible.  A few showers and pop up storms are also in the forecast.

Good Morning & Happy Wednesday!

A few of us are waking up to patchy fog this morning, mainly along the Cumberland PKWY and in our SE counties.  Take your time on the roads there, and make sure to drive with you low beams on.  Otherwise we're mild with temps in the low to mid 70s to start.  Given how saturated the air is with moisture, you may need your A.C. ON in your vehicles to help cool you down on your way into work.  We're aiming for 91°F later today under partly to mostly sunny skies.  After 2pm is when we'll see a few pop up showers and summer time thunderstorms develop.

A small cool down is in store by this upcoming weekend.
