Hot Today Before Late Night Storms Bring Relief

Temperatures will peak in the mid 90s today before a cold front bring widespread thunderstorms late in the evening. More seasonable temperatures return Friday and the weekend.
A Heat Advisory is in effect from through 7 P.M. today for Franklin, Scott, Harrison, Anderson, Woodford, Fayette, Bourbon, Nicholas, Mercer, Jessamine, and Boyle Counties. Heat indices are expected around 105° through the afternoon.


Another hot day as temperatures again head into the low to mid 90s with heat indices around 100 degrees.
Clouds arrive ahead of a cold front during the afternoon.
The cold front will likely spark widespread thunderstorms to our north.
A few evening storms may arrive, especially in the Bluegrass.
More widespread storms will be in the late evening and overnight.
We may see some strong to severe storms into the overnight.

Showers and thunderstorms exit to the east by Friday afternoon.
More seasonable temperatures and lower humidity funnel in Friday through the weekend.
