Noon Update: We are seeing a few clouds that have developed in the last hour, but a majority of the sky is still blue. We are not expecting any of the clouds to give way to any rain or storms.
Temperatures have already made it into the mid 80s, with some areas already feeling like 90° (including Lexington) when you factor in the high humidity. Stay hydrated and cool!
Chief Meteorologist Jason Myers will update you on our continuing heat tonight at 5, 6, and 11 on ABC 36 News.
Forecast: The abundant sunshine continues this afternoon, helping temperatures climb into the low 90s. With the humidity, it will easily feel like the mid 90s.
With all that sunshine, sunscreen will be a must today. The UV Index is 10, which is very high. Sunburn will be possible in just 15 minutes during the afternoon.
Tonight will bring some temporary relief from the hot weather as we cool down into the low 70s under mostly clear skies.
We warm right back into the low 90s again Wednesday afternoon even with a few more clouds. A few isolated storms will also be possible from the early afternoon to early evening, but most areas will stay dry all day.
The scattered storms will become more widespread in the second half of the workweek.
