Midnight Update: It looks like all the rain showers will stay just to the north of the Ohio River tonight, staying out of Kentucky. Areas closer to the Ohio River are seeing more clouds than the rest of the region.

After reaching 79° at Blue Grass Airport Sunday afternoon, we are down to 64° as of midnight. Further south, Somerset and London have fallen into the low 60s.

Meteorologist Michael Estime will have an update on warmer weather starting at 5 a.m. on Good Morning Kentucky.

A few light rain showers will be possible tonight and into Monday morning, mainly north of Interstate 64. The best shot of rain will be closer to the Ohio River.

By the morning commute, everyone should be dry with temperatures in the low 50s.

Monday afternoon will bring more sunshine than clouds, helping temperatures climb into the low 80 in central Kentucky and into the mid 80s in southern Kentucky. It could be slightly breezy at times.

We'll fall back a couple degrees Tuesday with mostly sunny skies.

Highs will be in the mid 80s both Wednesday and Thursday with mostly sunny skies continuing.

Widespread showers and storms are expected Friday and Saturday.
