Beautiful weather will continue through the rest of the afternoon as high pressure slowly drifts east. We'll have plenty of sunshine and eventually a few thin, high clouds. With light winds, highs will climb to near 72 degrees. Tonight will be a bit more seasonable than the past few nights, although we'll still be a few degrees below normal. Most of us will have a dry Saturday, but some areas in southern Kentucky could see an isolated late-day shower or two. Low pressure will produce widespread showers and thunderstorms on Mother's Day and into Monday, before showers decrease and slide east on Tuesday. We'll return to dry weather with high pressure on Wednesday. Most areas will remain dry on Thursday, although an isolated thunderstorm will be possible over the mountains and coalfields. Temperatures will be seasonable for most of the seven-day forecast.
