First Weekend of January Forecast

First Weekend of January Forecast

After a fridgid Friday, a few snow flurries could be seen this weekend.
Afternoon Update:

It's going to be a frigid cold Friday here in the Blue Grass with temperatures in the low to mid 30s this afternoon.  If you're heading out this evening, make sure to bring your winter weather gear, it's going to be cold!

It's an ice cold start this morning with temps in the 20s & 30s.  Though the northern tier of the Blue Grass is seeing a few clouds to start, the majority of central Kentucky is mostly clear.  Fog will not be an issue this morning; however, a light layer of frost on your windshield could be seen.  By lunch time, we're aiming for low 30s with a few clouds in our northern Blue Grass counties.  South of I-64, mostly sunny skies should prevail.  Highs today should top out just a few degrees above freezing under partly to mostly sunny skies.  Tonight we'll fall into the upper teens and low 20s with a few flurries in the forecast by this weekend.

It's a cold start this morning with above freezing temps by this afternoon. More at 5am on @ABC36Lexington #GMK!
