Dry in the Bluegrass, But Showers, Southeast

Mostly cloudy skies will cover the area this afternoon, but most of central Kentucky will stay dry. A shower or two will cross the southeast.
This afternoon, tonight and even Wednesday morning will feature a few showers in southeastern Kentucky while most of central Kentucky remains dry.  Mostly cloudy skies will cover the entire area today as highs peak near 65 degrees.  At times, the clouds above Lexington will become thin enough to reveal a few peeks of sun.  Readings will fall into the middle 40s tonight before recovering into the upper 60s on Wednesday.  Thursday will be partly sunny and dry as high pressure crosses the area, boosting temperatures into the middle 70s.  Friday will be even warmer, but scattered thunderstorms will arrive in the evening with a cold front.  Leftover showers will linger through the much cooler weekend, and the final showers will finally exit eastern Kentucky by Monday morning.
