Dry, But Hot & Humid Friday

Dry, But Hot & Humid Friday

We should stay dry Friday afternoon as the high heat and humidity continues. We will add some showers and storms into the forecast for the holiday weekend.
Midnight Update: We are still rain-free tonight and will continue to be into the Friday morning commute. Unfortunately, we are still muggy and warm.

Temperatures are now in the low and mid 70s across the region. Currently, Lexington is at 74° with Danville coming in at 72°. By morning, we will be close to 70°.

We are seeing a few storms well to the southwest of Monticello this evening, but don't expect rain tonight. The storms are moving south into Tennessee. Otherwise, we will see warm and muggy conditions overnight with morning lows near 70°.

The high heat and humidity will continue Friday afternoon. Temperatures are expected to hit 90° with the humidity making it feel more like the mid 90s. Skies will be partly cloudy.

The holiday weekend will also be hot and humid with temperatures near 90°, but we will also see a number of scattered showers and storms as well.

By Tuesday, we dry out with lower heat and lower humidity making for a much more comfortable weather pattern for the middle of the next work week.
