Gulf moisture will continue to pump in throughout the day, bringing numerous rain showers and afternoon thunderstorms.
Cloudy skies and periods of heavy rain will keep temperatures in the upper 70s.
The winds will be out of the southeast at 3 to 8 mph.
Off and on rain under mostly cloudy skies will persist through the weekend as well.
By the end of the stretch most locations will have received around 2" of rain.
At this point it looks like the highest rainfall totals will be in southern Kentucky.
