Crunchy Snow & Ice - Friday

Crunchy Snow & Ice - Friday

Many areas of the Blue Grass picked up ~1.00" of snow with a thin layer of ice under it. More sunshine is in your forecast today. See your full weekend forecast here.
Icy roadways will be the #1 concern today.  Underneath the crunchy snow, you'll find a thin layer of ice that is just enough to lose your footing on and cause terrible traction on the roadways.  Many areas of the Blue Grass picked up on the order of 1.00" of snow with higher amount in the more mountainous regions of eastern KY.  High temps today will only make it into the mid teens with wind chills in the single digits, and at times, below zero.  Overnight lows will fall into the low teens.  Mostly sunny skies should dominate this afternoon.

Saturday, we'll see another round of wintry weather.  By the time everything is said and done, we could see another 1.00" of a wintry accumulation on top of what we picked up this morning.
