Cooler And Rainy Saturday, With Snow Possible Late

Saturday will be colder and wet. Temperatures will gradually fall throughout the day. Snow will be possible Saturday night into early Sunday morning.
Midnight Update: The broken line of showers has mostly faded away, but the remaining couple of isolated showers are still pushing closer to Interstate 64. This activity should come to an end in the first hour of Saturday. The widespread rain is still expected to arrive early Saturday morning.

Temperatures are still fairly mild with most cities in the mid to upper 50s. As of midnight, Lexington is at 54° and Frankfort is at 52°.

Forecast: A few isolated showers are expected early Friday night, but many areas will stay dry. We'll stay relatively mild overnight with temperatures dropping into the mid 40s by Saturday morning.

Widespread rain showers will arrive Saturday morning, bringing rain to the entire region. A few thunderstorms will also be possible, but no severe weather is expected.

We could get a break or two from the rain Saturday afternoon, but it will remain cloudy. Temperatures will slowly fall in the afternoon into the low 40s as colder air continues to push into Kentucky.

As temperatures continue to drop Saturday night, we could see some of the rain showers turn into snow showers before the system exits the area Sunday morning.

We'll start to warm back up Sunday afternoon. Expect plenty of sunshine with highs in the mid 50s.

Monday will be even warmer with mostly sunny skies and highs in the mid 60s.
