Midnight Update: While skies have been clear all morning here in central Kentucky, the skies are finally clearing in eastern and southern Kentucky. We will spend the rest of the day under sunny to mostly sunny skies.

Temperatures are up to the mid 60s in central Kentucky, but Somerset and London have already hit 70°. For Lexington, it still looks like we will top out near 70°.

Cooler and less humid air has arrived behind the cold front that moved through Kentucky Thursday. We will be mostly sunny this afternoon with temperatures only climbing to 70°.

Our high school football games will be cool to chilly. Along with a cool breeze, temperatures will range from the upper 60s at kickoff to the mid 50s by the end of the games.

We will continue to cool overnight and by Saturday morning we will be in the mid 40s. We haven't been that cold since May! Skies will remain mostly clear.

Even after our cold start to Saturday, we will still manage to hit near 70° again by the end of the afternoon with the help of mostly sunny skies.
