After peaking in the middle 40s this afternoon, temperatures will tumble after an evening cold front. While the front won't have much moisture to work with in Kentucky, it will pack a punch, delivering the coldest air of the season. Readings will fall into the lower 20s tonight, and only recover into the middle 30s on Saturday despite plenty of sunshine. The coldest night during this arctic stretch will be on Saturday night, when we fall into the upper teens, even inside city limits. After a sunny and chilly Sunday, next week will feature a gradual warming trend, with rain showers creeping back into the forecast. Widespread rain will arrive by Thursday with milder air.
