Cold Blast To Follow Nice Veterans Day Weather

Monday will be a few degrees warmer, but a strong cold front will arrive early Tuesday morning, bringing rain and snow.
Midnight Update: It's already cold outside with temperatures falling into the low to upper 30s across the region. Our cold spot is Frankfort where the current reading is 30°, while Lexington sits at 38° as of midnight. Skies remain mostly clear.

We'll have your updated forecast during Good Morning Kentucky starting at 5 a.m. on ABC 36.

Skies will remain mostly clear tonight as temperatures drop into the low 30s by the Monday morning commute.

We will be a few degrees warmer for your Veterans Day afternoon with highs in the mid and upper 50s. Skies will start the day mostly sunny with increasing clouds later in the day.

Rainfall will push in from our north late Monday night into early Tuesday morning along with a strong cold front. As the colder air filters into the region, the rain will begin to switch over to snow from north to south before the Tuesday morning commute.

Surface temperatures should stay warm enough to prevent any accumulations on the roads, but if we see a heavier burst of snow, we could see some light snow stick to the grass briefly.

Skies will begin to clear Tuesday afternoon with temperatures only making it into the mid 30s.

Wednesday, we will start the day in the low 20s and only warm into the upper 30s under mostly sunny skies.
